As part of our work on Chandler Museum art canopy, DLR Group lighting designers were commissioned to create a dynamic design that would complement the canopy structure and its approximately 216 brushed stainless steel waves. The greatest challenge for our team was the unique nature of the stainless steel material. To work through these challenges, our team constructed an in-house half-size mock up. Doing so enabled us understand the material, the shape, and the profile of the structure, and ultimately find the most effective and visually-compelling design.

DLR Group was a consultant to Weddle Gilmore Black Rock Studio (Architect) and provided architectural services for the renovation of the original McCullough-Price House as well as engineering solutions for structural, HVAC, electrical, lighting design, and audiovisual systems for the entire project.
